Home is where our heart is-that is for SURE!

Welcome to our homegrownconnects blog.

Who we are: We are pleased to introduce ourselves as your friends!  We consist of Mom, Dad and 5 children (one of which resides in the arms of Jesus).  Our kids range from teenager to infant.  We are a FAMILY!  A Homeschooling family, that is.  We started homeschooling in 2004, hs started out as something that we did, but it isn’t just that any more, it is now who we are.  We are homeschoolers.  We are also in the process of becoming “hobby farmers”.  A farming homeschool family we are.

Our interests in moving to a rural area became a reality in 2010.  The Lord led us down an interesting path to get us here.  In the past few years we have found ourselves becoming more interested in the areas of gardening, homemade/natural products and animal husbandry, and now blogging 🙂 .  We love raising kids and animals… we love the kids most!

Our goal is to love the Lord and strive to rely on Him for all things, including this Blog.  This blog is intended to be a reflection of our family.  It is our hope that we will be able to connect with you in encouragement and hopefully be a resource for all of our readers.  Having found much value in the people that have been able and willing to share their knowledge, wisdom, resources, ideas, tricks-of-the-trade, etc. with us, we hope to be that connection for you as well.   We strive to have an open heart and mind to learn and grow and to share with others.
